This portal has
been phased out as the primary destination for the Metro Early Adopter Program.
If you joined the program between July 2008 and June 2009, that adoption cycle
and the associated program offerings have ended. Thank you for your continued
effort and commitment to the Microsoft platform. Starting in July
2009, a new set of pre-release opportunities for developers are available
through the Metro Early Adopter Program. These include, but are not limited to
expert-led training and labs surrounding the Windows Azure Platform,
Office 2010, SharePoint 2010, Silverlight 4, SQL
Server 2010, and Visual Studio 2010/.Net Framework 4. To continue
receiving the benefits that the Metro Early Adopter Program offers, you must to
be nominated by your local Microsoft DPE representative*. Alternatively, you may
request participation by emailing
metroreq@microsoft.com.
We will forward your request to the appropriate local contact. You may also
want to explore the Channel 9 Learning
Center, a new destination on Channel 9 that’s designed to provide free
technical training on emerging Microsoft products and technologies. Here, you
will find a collection of continually updated courses, each including a set of
videos, hands-on labs, and source code samples help to bring you up-to-speed
quickly. Channel 9 Learning Center courses will be refreshed throughout the
pre-release cycle to bring you the latest and most relevant information
possible. In addition, with every course you will find a link that allows you to
download an entire Training Kit as a self-extracting package. Once downloaded,
the Training Kit will un-compress to the selected folder on your PC so you can
work and learn offline. *
The Metro Early Adopter Program
is designed to assist developers with specific projects involving pre-release
Microsoft products and technologies. There are specific benefits associated with
participation in the program surrounding training, labs, and pre-release
technical support. Participants are asked to commit to a specific early adoption
project. Applications are reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis. |
